Peru Born and Brooklyn raised, Delaware Hip Hop artist and community organizer, Brother IZ the Truth, raises social awareness through his Hip Hop and spoken word events in the tri-state area and around the world. Awarded the Humanitarian of Year in New York at the Black National Theater for his activism in the inner city, he is also the ambassador of Guerrilla Republik an international Hip Hop movement. An active member of Afrika Bambaataa’s music and culture-oriented Universal Zulu Nation with thousands of members including Immortal Technique and Narubi Selah, he strives to change the world through social activism and music.

In the city of Wilmington, IZ takes the culture of beat battling to individuals asking for change on the city streets. Instead of a battle with B-Boy moves, Iz challenges them to a battle of Rock, Paper, Scissors. If they win, IZ gives them the money they asked for. In short, he’s giving them a chance to earn the change.
