Amin Nathari is widely acknowledged as a critically acclaimed author and lecturer, and one of the leading and most passionate voices of his generation on the contemporary socio-political challenges and issues of our time.

Nathari specializes primarily in the analysis and documentation of events and issues that impact Muslims and the Islamic experience in America today.

He is also a renowned and respected activist and servant-leader in the Muslim American community for over twenty (20) years.

In addition to his community and public service and organizational involvement, working with some of Muslim America’s most prominent scholars, leaders and activists, Nathari has consistently spent his time teaching classes, facilitating discussions and conducting learning and information sessions at halfway houses, social service agencies, libraries and many other public and private venues throughout the United States.

A dynamic lecturer and highly sought after public speaker, he has delivered hundreds of lectures and presentations at more than thirty different (30) mosques and Islamic centers, in addition to more than a dozen institutions of higher learning, including some of the most renown public and private colleges and universities in the US, as well as libraries, correctional institutions and other venues throughout North America.

He has engaged a broad and diverse range of audiences; both small, intimate groups as well as gatherings numbering in the thousands.

Nathari is the author of seven (7) books; his new book is titled Making It Plain – On The Record: Selected Blogs, Essays and Writings of Amin Nathari. Additionally, Nathari is working on his memoir, Going Back to Move Forward –Growing Up Black and Muslim in America.

In addition to his writing, community service and extensive national speaking schedule, Nathari is also a Media and Communications Strategist, advising and serving a select roster of educational, political and not-for-profit/community service clients. He formerly served as Deputy Director of Communications for the City of Newark, NJ.

He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Thomas Edison State College in Trenton, NJ. He also attended William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ.

Continuing what he refers to as his Personal Activism and Public Service Project, his work as an author, publisher and activist, Nathari is pursuing his education and studies in various areas, including Public Policy and Religion. He gives all credit, praise and thanks to: the Creator for allowing him the opportunity to engage and serve humanity; for his parents who helped lay the foundation upon which he stands, and his greatest inspiration and motivation; his children.
