HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL 2015 – OCT 31 – No. 2 Sallies disciplines No.1 Colonials 30-13

New Castle – The game that featured No. 2 Sallies at No.1 William Penn didn’t live up to the hype. Salesianum channelled the British forces of the 17th-century and dominated the colonials the majority of the day while unleashing a ferocious ground attack with the main ingredient, Senior running back Colby Reeder leading the assault.

Sallies and the Colonials traded 3 and out’s most of the first half, John Andreoli kickstarted Sallies first scoring drive with a big 55-yard punt return, The 6-foot-4, 225-pound Colby Reeder would finish of the drive with a 15 yard touchdown run with 7:32 left in the second quarter.

On William Penn next possession the Colonials go for it on fourth-and-1, Quarterback D.J. Johnson get stocked up at the line of scrimmage. Reeder has the presence of mind to strip the ball from the hands of Johnson and return the fumble 30 yards for a touchdown for a 14-0 lead.

The Colonials best plays came when D.J. Johnson hooked up with wide receiver Chichi Amachi for a 29 yard touchdown; right before halftime, the second came in the fourth quarter when Johnson hook up with Amachi who spun of a defender and went 34 yards for a touchdown.

Sallies Running Back Colby Reeder finished with 20 attempts for 173 yards and three touchdowns, moreover Zachary Jarome added 8 rushing attempts for 126 yards.

Salesianum 7-1 will travel to Sussex Tech (7-1) next Friday, While Penn 7-1 hit the road for Sat. Nov 07, 2015 game against Charter School of Wilmington.
