NEWARK, DE – December 15, 2015 – The Delaware 87ers downed the Iowa Energy 110-108 on a last-second field goal in overtime at the Bob Carpenter Center on Tuesday afternoon.

Delaware (7-6) guard Sean Kilpatrick led the 87ers with 27 points and converted with 1.7 seconds remaining in overtime to give Delaware the win. Rick Jackson earned his first double-double this season with 10 points and a team-high 11 rebounds. Jordan McRae contributed 21 points in the victory, while Rodney Carney chipped in 12 points off the bench.

Six Iowa (7-4) players finished with double-digit point totals, led by Kentucky alum Andrew Harrison’s 21 points. Big man Alex Stephenson recorded a 17-point, 15-rebound double-double, while Joel Wright and Lazeric Jones each put up 17 points in the loss.

The Energy shot 66 percent from the three-point line early, hitting six-of-nine attempts from deep in the first quarter to give Iowa a 29-20 lead after one.

In the second quarter, the duo of McRae and Kilpatrick combined for 21 points to chip away at the deficit, as the 87ers went into the halftime break down 61-56.

The 87ers bench kept them in the game in the third quarter by scoring a combined 15 points in the period, but Iowa led 87-81 going into the fourth.

Delaware out-scored Iowa by six points in the fourth quarter, but Wright sank a free throw with 11.5 second left in the game to tie things at 104, as the teams headed to overtime.

The 87ers will hit the road for their next game, in Canada vs. Raptors 905 on Saturday, December 19th at 3:00 p.m. ET. Iowa will return home to host the Oklahoma City Blue on Friday, December 18th, with tip scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.
