NEWARK, DE – November 17, 2015, – The Delaware 87ers lost their season opener on Saturday night 113-101 to the Grand Rapids Drive and return home to the familiar confines of the Bob Carpenter Center where they took on the Canton Charge in their home opener. Prior to the game, the sevens announced the team had re-acquired Sean Kilpatrick as a returning player.

When the sevens tipped off at the start the of the game, The starting five seemed a little sluggish as Canton Olekaibe attempts and make a 3 point shot to take an early three nothing lead over the sevens. When Sean Kilpatrick entered the game, he became a floor general, directing traffic finishing with a team-high 24 points going 5-of-10 from deep while Three other 87ers reached double-digit points Jordan McRae finished with 17, John Jordan netted 15 points and John Bohannon added 13 points in the 102-93 win on coach Kevin young birthday in front of 2,125 fans and Sixers forward Robert Covington and Guard Isaiah Canaan.

The Canton Charge was led by Joe Harris who drained 21 points, Center Michael Dunnigan scored 18 points and led the team with 13 rebounds, Sir’ Dominic Pointer went (7-15) while finishing with 16 points as Canton Charge Forward Nick Minnerath goes 5-10 while terminated at 14 point. Former 2014 National Champion and Duke University co-captian Quinn Cook added a healthy 9 points.

The 87ers will travel to Erie Pennsylvania to face the Bayhawks on Friday, November 20th at 7 p.m. ET, While the Canton Charge return home to face Thanasis Antetokounmpo and the Westchester Knicks on November 21th.
