Upcoming Black Men’s Meet, Greet, and Networking Event
WILMINGTON, Del. — This episode of Community Crossfire, host Norman Oliver, also known as Storm, talks about the upcoming Black Men’s Meet, Greet, and Networking Event. This event will occur on July 31 from 5pm-7pm at New Destiny Fellowship Church. Featuring three undeniably talented keynote speakers, an incredible DJ, and many honorees, this is a significant community event.
The first Crossfire interview features Lifetime Achievement Honoree Gary Hutt and the owner of Oath 84, Justin Womack. Gary Hutt is an active member of the Wilmington community and is currently a prominent figure of the Howard High School Alumni Association. Justin Womack opened over 20 restaurants throughout the US, with Oath ’84 opening in his home state on King Street. The second interview spotlights a guest speaker for the upcoming event, Rob Oliver, and previous honoree award winner from the event, Dubard McGriff. Dubard McGriff is the founder of the Northeast Community Development Corporation. Specifically, the corporation focuses on affordable housing and economic development for Wilmington. Rob Oliver is a member of the Monday Club, one of the oldest Black Men’s Social Clubs in the US.
