We are extra thirsty today on Reuben’s Indian Kitchen. We are bringing you not one but THREE different kinds of drinks. Reuben and Chaad will be making a Hot Chai, a Dirty Chai Cocktail and a classic Indian beverage, Falooda!

Masala Chai:
8 green cardamom pods
5 cloves
¼ tsp. fennel seeds
½ tsp. black peppercorns
1 cinnamon stick
1star anise
1 ½ c. water
Pinch ground nutmeg
1″ fresh ginger, grated
2 tbsp. loose leaf black tea
1 ½ c. whole milk
1 to 2 tbsp. granulated sugar
1 tbsp malted milk powder
Falooda, a Classic Indian Beverage:
2 tsp Basil seeds (Sabja seeds or Falooda seeds)
1 ½ cups Milk
2 tbsp Sugar
1 handful Vermicelli
2 tbsp Rose Syrup
2 scoops Ice cream
Pistachios chopped for garnishing
Rose petals for garnishing (optional)
Making falooda recipe:
Take two glasses. Add a spoonful of basil seeds to it. Then on top add cooked falooda sev. Then add 1 tablespoon of rose syrup in each glass. Pour the milk in it. Some basil seeds will float on top. Then add a scoop of ice cream. Garnish it with chopped pistachios and rose petals. Serve immediately.
Dirty Chai: Ice
1 ½ oz Rum
1 ½ oz Coffee Liqueur
2 oz Chilled Chai
1 egg white
½ oz spiced maple syrup (cardamom, star anise, cinnamon)
