Elon Musk Has Turn Twitter Upside Down
Elon has finally acquired twitter and he is already flipping twitter upside down to some people.
Delaware Chancery Court judge has given Mr. Musk until last Friday to close his long-promised, $44 billion deal to acquire Twitter. If he doesn’t, Chancellor McCormick will preside over a trial in November that could end with Mr. Musk being forced to make good on the deal he made with Twitter in April. But Elon closed the deal.
News spread that Musk finally took over twitter & when it happened hate speech on the social media site sky-rocketed.
According to abcnews.go, “A new study from Montclair State University showed a dramatic increase in hate speech on Twitter immediately following Elon Musk’s acquisition of the social media platform.”
“Musk, who describes himself as a free speech absolutist, closed the deal on the platform on Thursday, Oct. 27. He said he promised to reduce Twitter’s content restrictions to promote free speech, yet no official changes have been made since the acquisition aside from the announcement of a to-be-formed “content moderation council” that will review company policies.”
Now Elon has started a twitter & social media debate between people. Musk tweeted about a new 8 dollar a month subscription service on twitter to get a blue check.

According to mashable.com, “Twitter’s new CEO Elon Musk has tweeted that Twitter Blue’s monthly subscription fee will increase to $8, and include a blue checkmark verification badge as one of its perks. Soon we may be able to see who is terminally online and gullible enough to pay Twitter for the illusion of status.”
“Twitter’s current lords & peasants system for who has or doesn’t have a blue checkmark is bulls***,” wrote Musk, demonstrating a fundamental misunderstanding of both Twitter verification and the feudal system. “Power to the people! Blue for $8/month.”
To me this weird because twitter is supposed to be the “free speech” social media website. But if there will be an $8/month subscription service how is that free speech if some people will be paying for it just to have a blue check. I use twitter and Instagram more than any other apps so if it does go to subscription base service it will be a lot to think about & look at.
