What Happened With The Philadelphia 76ers

By: Tye Richmond

All I have to say is wow, like last night truly has no words. If you haven’t heard already the Philadelphia 76ers were eliminated last night in the the second round once again this time the Miami Heat.

I think every Sixers fan last night was questioning the organization from top to bottom. First the owner and general manger on how and why the teams bench players aren’t better. Questioning the coaches on why wasn’t the game plan different. Lastly questioning the players on why it felt like the team didn’t show up at all only 3 players showed some sort of heart (Joel, Tyrese, & Shake Milton).

It will be a lot of decisions that will have to be made this summer. So it will be an interesting summer this offseason for the 76ers. Darly Morey came out in a press conference today and say that the plan is to have Doc Rivers and James Harden back on the team next year.

The 76ers definitely need to retool and find better options than what they have now. The bench needs to improve and I think another solid star or superstar next to Harden, Embiid, and Maxey. Because Tobias Harris is solid player but he is getting paid too much to be a 3rd or 4th option. Same thing with Harden having only 2 points in the second half in an elimination game. I get that he isn’t the same James Harden of old but still you can give the team more than 2 points at least.

So this off season it will be a lot of rearranging throughout the team. The fans should just sit back relax and watch what unfolds in the summer. But look on the bright side now we can turn our attention the Eagles or Phillies who have some hope this season.
