Delaware Blue Coats Are In The G League Finals

If you haven’t already heard or have been sleeping under a rock The Delaware Blue Coats are in the G-League!

The Delaware Blue Coats are officially going to the NBA G League Championships for the second year in a row. On Sunday night in Toronto, the three seed Coats upset top-seeded Raptors 905 to a score off 143-139 in the Eastern Conference Championship.

Myles Powell led Delaware with 34 points including 4-6 from three-point range. Charlie Brown, Jr. scored 28, and pulled down eight boards. Aaron Henry had 23 points, 8 boards, 9 assists, and 3 blocked shots. Shaq Harrison was a rebound shy of a triple-double, tallying 17 points, 13 assists, and 9 rebounds.

The Coats faced off against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the best-of-three Championship series that Tuesday, April 12. In Game 1 the Delaware Blue Coats falling to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers 145-128 in the first game of a best-of-three series. Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Thursday, April 14 at Chase Fieldhouse in Wilmington. Tip-off is slated for 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPNEWS.

The Vipers are playing in their second G-League Finals in three years after winning the title in 2019 and were led by former Houston Rocket Isaiah Hartenstein, who won Finals MVP. As mentioned earlier, the Vipers have made six trips to the Finals and are looking for their fourth championship.
