In a recent episode that delves into Harris’s candidacy and the Divine Nine’s role, leaders from Delaware’s chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, Zeta Phi Beta, and Sigma Gamma Rho shared their insights on mobilizing voters and breaking down barriers to participation. Melanie S. Daniels, Membership Chair of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., emphasized,

Joy Oliver Hunt, President of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Middletown Chapter, echoed this sentiment, stating, “This is about harnessing our collective power to ensure that the voices of our communities are not just heard but are a driving force in this election.”
Shanena Davenport-Fogan, Delaware State Director of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., pointed out that voter education is key: “We are providing resources and information that demystify the voting process, making it accessible to all, especially first-time voters who may feel overwhelmed.”
Alexis Samuels, President of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Wilmington Chapter, spoke on overcoming barriers, “Our goal is to address and dismantle the obstacles that prevent our community members from exercising their right to vote. Through unity and action, we can overcome these challenges.”
