HEALTH ALERT: Measles Exposure Reported in Wilmington

The Delaware Division of Public Health is reporting a measles exposure at the emergency department of Nemours Children’s Hospital in Wilmington on February 18, 2026.
DPH is conducting contact tracing and will reach out directly to anyone identified as potentially exposed. If you were at the Nemours ER that day, health officials are urging you to:
✅ Check your vaccination status
✅ Monitor for symptoms for 21 days — through March 11, 2026
✅ Contact your doctor if you have concerns
Important:
• Anyone not fully vaccinated should get an MMR vaccine within 72 hours of exposure (by February 21). Check with your pharmacy or primary care provider to confirm availability.
