Philadelphia Rapper PNB Rock Shot & Killed In Los Angeles
Yesterday the music world and especially the hip hop world was hit hard with the devastating news of rapper and Philadelphia’s own PNB Rock.
“Rapper PnB Rock was shot at Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles restaurant in the Inglewood neighborhood of Los Angeles on Monday (Sept. 12), the Los Angeles Times reports.”
“Police confirmed that a shooting occurred at the restaurant at 1:23 p.m. PT along with a possible robbery. The victim, described as a Black male, was transported to the hospital and his current condition is unknown.”

“Billboard has reached out to reps for Rock (real name: Rakim Hasheem Allen) to confirm the news.”
“Earlier in the day, Rock’s girlfriend, Stephanie Sibounheuang, posted and since deleted a photo of the duo’s Roscoe’s meal to her Instagram Stories, as screenshotted and shared by TMZ. Someone on Twitter shared a graphic video that purportedly shows the rapper on the ground following the shooting.”
PNB Rock did an interview with DJ Akademiks a couple of weeks ago, where he explained a situation where he was in LA and some guys tried to rob him before for his jewelry.
This isn’t the first time a high profiled rapper has been murdered in Los Angeles (Tupac, Biggie, Nipsey Hussle, & Pop Smoke) but this one hit differently for me. Because PNB Rock was from Philadelphia and I grew up listening to his music even going to his shows.
I seen his music career start from the bottom and seen him become one of the best hip hop artists in the world. So, his death is an eerie feeling but all te prayers are to his friends and family through this tough time.
