Week One Of The NFL Season Was Crazy

First week of the NFL season just ended and it was one for the history books. It had overtime thrillers, missed game winning kicks, and game winning kicks. Week 1 was one that I haven’t seen in quiet some time.

For the Eagles fans it was a stressful Week 1 but at the end we ended up with the victory 38-35.

An ESPN article that recapped the game said “Jalen Hurts made plays with his legs, right arm and head.”

“Hurts accounted for 333 yards and a touchdown and A.J. Brown had a career-high-tying 155 yards receiving in his Philadelphia debut, helping the Eagles hold on for a 38-35 win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday.”

“The Eagles scored 24 points in the second quarter and had a 17-point lead in the fourth that was cut to three when Jared Goff threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to DJ Chark with 3:51 left.”

“Miles Sanders’ 24-yard run on third-and-2 from the Eagles 27 just before the two-minute warning quieted a raucous crowd.”

I am glad the Eagles got the win but a lot of us Eagles fans are still scratching our heads at the game.

We are wondering where was the run defense at. When the season first started, we had questions about the pass offense and the cornerbacks but the secondary of the Eagles answered some of those questions.

But now we have questions of the team’s run defense because it was no where to be found against the Lions.

Hopefully the team get their run defense together and their secondary comes to play because up next, we have the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football who have the great Justin Jefferson.
