James Bradberry Signs With The Philadelphia Eagles

By: Tye Richmond

Howie Roseman has done it again, when we thought that Howie and the front office staff were done, they just surprise us even more.

Ian Rapport Reported: Former #Giants Pro Bowl CB James Bradberry has agreed to terms with the #Eagles on a 1-year deal for $10M. A big-time post-draft addition, as Bradberry lands in a perfect spot. Yesterday we looked at the Philadelphia Eagles’ schedule and I said they could win 12-13 games. Now with the addition of James Bradberry, I feel comfortable with the team winning 12-13 games if they stay healthy.

Now there is no excuse for Jalen Hurts and his teammates not to have a good year and make the playoffs again, but this time win a playoff game. After last season, the real expectation for the Eagles is a playoff win. I don’t see the team winning another Super Bowl this year but if they may surprise us like in 2017. The Eagles’ only question mark is their safety position which could be the only flaw they have. A starting safety duo of Anthony Harris and Marcus Epps isn’t good enough.

A question mark for some fans is Jalen Hurts; Will Jalen take a big step this year or will he be the same play as last year? That has been a real question to many fans. Many believe that Hurts could be the player with the most pressure on him this season. Howie Roseman set the players and coaches up very well and built now a very legitimate team.

Pro Football focus gave out their offseason ranking for every NFL team a couple of days ago before the Bradberry signing. Their ranking for the Eagles was Offseason Grade: A-, Free Agency Grade: Average (probably above average now) Draft Grade: A.

The article went on to say, “The Eagles have had an outstanding offseason, and few moves are likely to make a bigger impact than acquiring A.J. Brown via trade on draft day. The only question is where that move factors in — whether you count it as part of the team’s draft or not — but Brown gives the team a legitimate No. 1 receiver, which was still a question mark otherwise. Brown has been an elite receiver overall since entering the league but has also excelled in the areas that are still up for debate with DeVonta Smith, such as dominance against press coverage.”

This year should be fun to watch if the team stays healthy. I think the team could definitely make some noise. Fly Eagles Fly!!
