
WILMINGTON, Del. — As we get closer to the start of the next school year, many Delaware organizations organized backpack giveaways for students! In the upcoming month, there are many events for families to receive FREE school supplies including backpacks, pencils, notebooks, and more!
AUGUST 10th:
Back to School Bash hosted by Nemours – at 1602 Jessup St. from 10:30am-2pm
School Supply Bazaar hosted by The One Step At a Time Foundation and J.P. Morgan Chase – at 26 Karlyn Dr. between New Castle and Wilmington from 11am-3pm
Back to School Backpack Giveaway hosted by Sunday Breakfast Mission – at 110 N. Poplar St. Wilmington from 11am-3pm
Sneaker Giveaway hosted by Colonial School District – at William Penn from 10am-2:30pm
United Way Giveaway hosted by The United Way of Delaware – at the Dover Library from 12pm-2pm
AUGUST 17th:
United Way Giveaway hosted by The United Way of Delaware – at the Wilmington Public Library from 10am-2pm
AUGUST 22nd:
Backpack Giveaway and Resource Fair hosted by Castle Hill Elementary – at 502 Moores Lane from 3:30pm-5:30pm
AUGUST 24th:
Back to School Movie Night + Bookbag Giveaways hosted by New Castle County Community Center – at the New Castle County Community Center from 5pm-10pm
Stuff the Bus Giveaway hosted by the Ultimate Scholastics Staffing Solutions – at the Wilmington Pal starting at 12pm
Also, there will be a full week of Back 2 School events hosted by Ultimate Scholastics Staffing Solutions! All events are free and hosted at the Wilmington Pal.
Monday, August 19th: Let’s Talk About It panel discussion from 5pm-7pm
Tuesday, August 20th: Roll Call Skating Lessons from 4pm-5:30pm & Open Session Skating from 6pm-10pm
Wednesday, August 21st: Who Got Game? Community Basketball Tournament from 12pm-8pm
Thursday, August 22nd: Big Inner G Community Art Therapy Session: 002 from 6pm-10pm
Friday, August 23rd: Day Jam featuring special performances from 1pm-5pm
Saturday, August 24th: Stuff the Bus Giveaway starting at 12pm
