
302 Day 2026 in Delaware: Statewide Day of Service Announced by Governor Matt Meyer
WILMINGTON, Del. – Matt Meyer has announced that Monday, March 2, 2026, will mark a coordinated statewide 302 Day of Service, inviting Delawareans to participate in community service projects across all three counties.
This year’s 302 Day is organized in partnership with Delaware 250, commemorating Delaware’s upcoming 250th anniversary. The initiative highlights volunteerism, environmental stewardship, and community support throughout the First State.
“302 Day is about celebrating what makes Delaware special — service, community, and civic pride,” Governor Meyer said. “As we approach our 250th anniversary, we invite all Delawareans to find a way to give back and be part of this historic year.”

Delaware Department of Transportation to Host Statewide Litter Cleanup
In celebration of Delaware’s 250th Anniversary, the Delaware Department of Transportation will host a 302 Day Statewide Litter Cleanup Event in honor of its Adopt-A-Highway Program.
The cleanup recognizes program sponsors committed to preserving Delaware’s natural resources and improving quality of life statewide.
Priority Cleanup Locations
DelDOT employees and volunteers will focus on three key areas:

Port Mahon Road in Dover

Raccoon Ditch Road in Georgetown
In addition, more than 50 Adopt-A-Highway sponsors, including families, civic organizations, businesses, and community groups, will conduct cleanup projects statewide.

Delaware Department of Correction Hosts Reentry Support Service Project
The Delaware Department of Correction will also participate in 302 Day with a Reentry Support Service Project focused on assisting individuals transitioning back into the community.
Volunteer Details

Up to 10 volunteers statewide are needed

Service at reentry resource tables in Probation and Parole public lobbies in each county

2 to 3-hour shifts available between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Volunteers will distribute personal care kits, food supplies, and printed resource information

Delaware Libraries Encourage Residents to Sign Up for Library Cards
