The Starboard Opening Weekend Returns to Dewey Beach for 2026 Season
DEWEY BEACH, Del. – One of Delaware’s most popular beach bars is getting ready to welcome crowds back for the start of another season.

Opening weekend at The Starboard in Dewey Beach is set for March 15, marking the unofficial kickoff to spring and summer at the Delaware beaches. Known for its lively atmosphere, brunch crowd, and late night entertainment, the restaurant and bar draws visitors from across the region each year for its first big weekend of the season.
Guests can expect a full schedule of entertainment throughout the weekend, including live bands and DJs performing inside the venue. The Starboard is known for keeping the energy high with music, dancing, and packed crowds that often spill out along Coastal Highway.
The Starboard will have a full slate of entertainment throughout opening weekend, with live bands, DJs, and even Irish dancers. Here’s the schedule:
Thursday:
-
Decade 80 – 7–11 PM
Saturday:
-
Kristen & The Noise – 3 PM
Sunday:
-
Irish Dancers – 11 AM
-
Bryen O’Boyle – 12 PM
-
La Unica Band – 3 PM
The popular beach spot will also be serving its well known brunch and breakfast menu during opening weekend. Many visitors make it a tradition to stop by for morning food and drinks before the crowds build later in the day.

Because opening weekend is one of the busiest times of the year, visitors should plan ahead. Parking in Dewey Beach can fill up quickly, especially near the main strip where The Starboard is located. Arriving early, carpooling, or using rideshare services may help avoid long waits and limited parking.

Beach officials also remind visitors to bring valid ID if they plan to enjoy alcoholic beverages and to expect large crowds throughout the weekend.
For many locals and returning visitors, The Starboard’s opening weekend signals the start of the beach season in Dewey Beach and a busy stretch of spring and summer events along the Delaware coast.
