It’s Taco Tuesday today and there is a big taco festival coming up this weekend.
According to tacofests.com, “The most anticipated food & entertainment festival of the year is taking place at Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park in Wilmington on Saturday & Sunday, September 24 & 25, 2022. Get ready for an action-packed weekend filled with a large variety of tacos, margaritas, games, and taco-themed fun all while be entertained by live bands on stage, authentic Mariachi music, and other live entertainment! Come hungry – get ready for the Delaware Taco Festival!”
“Over 50 varieties of tacos will be available. It’s time for Taco Heaven! Inside the festival, you’ll find 25+ of Delaware’s best restaurants, food trucks, and eateries serving up an amazing variety of mouth watering tacos & other related food items (mexican corn, churritos, churros, tamales, nachos & more).”

Their website continues to say, “At the event, you’ll find over 25 of Delaware’s best restaurants, food trucks & carts serving up an amazing variety of mouth watering tacos & related food items. There will be bars and beverage stations serving margaritas, tequila flights, ice cold beer, water, soda & more.”
“All food-related items will work on a voucher system with stations located throughout the festival grounds. Purchase your taco vouchers ($4 a voucher sold in sheets of 5 for $20) at any of the stations and then simply exchange them for Tacos, Elotes, Nacho’s, and all food-related menu items! All vendors will offer at least two items on their menu for one voucher ($4) with a very select few offering some high-end fancy pants tacos (Crab, Lobster etc) and burritos for two vouchers ($8). All alcohol & beverages will work on a cash & credit system. There will be ATM’s on site but highly encourage cash sales to expedite the overall process.”
