Connecting the Dots: Building Support for Women Struggling with Addiction & Mental Health | Ep. 10
WILMINGTON, Del. — On this episode of Her Perspective, six special guests explore solutions for women to support mental health and combat addiction.
What can we do to build stronger support systems for women? How do mental health and addiction affect women and families? Host Rita Landgraf introduces the first guest, Stacey Stewart, to discuss her role as the CEO of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). Afterwards, Rita introduces four guests, Annie Slease (Co-Founder and CEO of National Mental Health Literacy Collaborative), Dr. Teri Lawler (Founding member of Pathways to Resilience), Cierra Hall-Hipkins (Executive Director of Network Connect), and Jessica Estok (Interim Assistant Director of Collegiate Recovery Programs), for the second segment of Connecting the Dots. The panel discusses each of their lived experiences with mental wellness, addiction, and support systems for women.
