
Wilmington Public Library’s “Choppin It Up” series has returned
The Wilmington Public Library has been doing some huge things this past year and even last year. Especially with their “Choppin It Up” series.
They had the likes of Pam Grier, Dolly Parton, & Dennis Rodman. This time they have a brand new star-studded lineup for the “Choppin It Up” series.
The next opportunity for the public to attend the library’s “Choppin’ It Up” series will be when Jenifer Lewis one of Hollywood’s most familiar faces, with more than 300 appearances in film and television. Dubbed a “national treasure” by TV Guide.com. Will be in Wilmington on September 15th.
Then the cast of “The Cosby Show” spinoff “A Different World” will be in the building on Sept. 29.
This “Choppin’ It Up” event also will be streamed live on the Wilmington Public Library’s Facebook page. This reunion with the cast of “A Different World” will feature Jasmine Guy, Kadeem Hardison, Charnele Brown, Darryl Bell, Cree Summer and Dawnn Lewis.
After the cast of “A Different World” , the Wilmington Public Library will host White House reporter April Ryan on Oct. 27. Registration opens at 9 a.m. Sept. 27.
Also according to delawareonline.com, “Famous TV personality Judge Joe Brown and New York Times contributor Dr. Michael Eric Dyson will debate hot-button political issues such as reproductive rights, critical race theory and more at Wilmington Public Library on Nov. 3, just a few days before Election Day.”
Plus two-time NBA world champion Lamar Odom will be here October 6.
So you don’t want to miss these historic events taking place in our city every event will be amazing and ground breaking for the city of Wilmington.
