DSO NAMES FOUR FINALISTS FOR MUSIC DIRECTOR
After a comprehensive, worldwide search for a new music director, the Delaware Symphony Orchestra – or the DSO – has announced the final four candidates in consideration.
The search process began last summer with a call for applicants. Frank Clowes, president of the DSO, said he was astonished and impressed to receive more than 150 applications from around the world. A thirteen-member search committee reviewed applications and conducted interviews through the fall of 2023 to narrow the search to four.
- TAICHI FUKUMURA
- MÉLISSE BRUNET
- FILIPPO CIABATTI
- MICHELLE DI RUSSO
All four finalists will appear with the DSO during the 2024-2025 season and feedback will be gathered. The appointment is expected no earlier than spring 2025.
