Delaware’s newest charter school – the Bryan Allen Stevenson School of Excellence – will open this fall after a year-long delay. The school – starting with grades 6-8 — will eventually expand to include high school grades. Currently, the Bryan Allen Stevenson school of excellence has 206 students enrolled – with plans to accommodate up to 250. The delay was due to state enrollment requirements. The school emphasizes service learning and project-based education. The Bryan Allen Stevenson school of excellence recently received a $100,000 donation from its namesake – Bryan Stevenson – to support operational costs and renovations.
