Phillies Magic Number Is Down To One
The Phillies are one win away from ending a 11-year playoff drought.
“The Phils have a two-game lead with the tiebreaker over the Brewers, meaning Milwaukee’s only path to the postseason is to sweep the Diamondbacks at home while the Phillies get swept in Houston. Anything short will result in the Phillies ending their 10-year playoff drought.”

Philadelphia beat the Washington Nationals 8-1 in a game halted after six innings because of rain.
Kyle Schwarber and Bryson Stott each drove in three runs and Zack Wheeler threw five scoreless innings.
Philadelphia took three of four from the worst-in-the-majors Nationals to improve to 86-73 after getting to town on a five-game losing streak.
It has been 4,014 days since the Phillies last played a postseason game.

The Phillies won the NL East every year from 2007-11 and earned a World Series title in 2008. But they haven’t returned to the postseason since that run.
With the Eagles flying high and the Sixers looking like a serious contender it will be nice to see the Phillies finally make the playoffs. But the Flyers who know what is going on with them.
