The Agenda: The Missing Students of COVID
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected Delaware’s schools in many ways and after 18 months, we are seeing a return to in-class learning. Unfortunately, some students have not made a return to the classroom and school districts are trying to locate these missing children.
We sit down with Christina School District Deputy Superintendent, Dr. Deirda Aikins Joyner and Glasgow High School Principal, Harold “Butch” Ingram, to discuss what our education system is doing to locate these students. We also dig into how students are “catching up” after over a year of virtual learning.
Also on this episode, we speak with two members of the Delaware’ African and Caribbean Affairs Commission about the Haitian Refugee situation near the US-Mexico border in Texas.
